The Plotaholics Podcast: Movie Reviews
Each week, authors Shane Wilson and Bryan Tann watch one movie before meeting for an informal and wide-ranging conversation inspired by that movie. Reminiscent of the nights spent debating your favorite films over drinks, The Plotaholics Podcast seeks to capture the organic, shared experience of life as consumers of popular culture. Long-time practitioners of pop culture discussion will understand this one thing: the best conversations rarely stay on topic. So, if you “have too much time on your hands,” or you care immensely for something even if it’s “just a movie,” this podcast is for you. Tune in each week as The Plotaholics begin with a film and let the conversation take them where it will.Join the Discord! https://discord.gg/tyjMeVReAD

Episode 179
This week we continue our Comedic Actors in Dramatic roles block with 2004's indie darling Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
This gem sees Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet as Joel and Clementine (no jokes) who have suffered a painful breakup. Joel, heartbroken that Clementine doesn't recognize him, discovers that she had her memories of him erased. So he decides what's good for the goose is good for the gander. During the procedure, he decides his memories are precious.
Mark Ruffalo, Elijah Wood, Kirsten Dunst, and David Cross co-star.
How good is this film? How great is Carrey in a noncomedic role? You'll find out in this Plotaholics Podcast review of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
